Pre-school and Nursery
Bright Stars Nursery, our pre-school at Albrighton Primary School, opened its doors for the very first time in September 2017 for children from the age of 3. After a successful first year we enhanced our nursery provision in September 2018 to take children from 2 years old.
As the Nursery is led and managed by the primary school, children will have the opportunity to access a wide range of resources. We have extensive space indoors and outdoors. They will also experience visits to our own ‘Forest School’ where they will explore all aspects of outdoor life and learning. The outside environment, which the children access daily, is full of a range of equipment and objects to promote play and support physical development.
We are excited to announce our planned expansion of our provision further by opening Twinkling Stars, our offering for babies and toddlers. The new setting will open after it has been inspected by OFSTED.
Provision for the development and learning of children from birth to 5 years is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our provision reflects the four overarching principles of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (DfE 2014)
- A Unique Child: Every child is a unique child who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
- Positive Relationships: Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships.
- Enabling Environments: Children learn and develop well in enabling environments, in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners, parents and carers.
- Learning and Development: Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates. The framework covers the education and care of all children in early years provision including children with special educational needs and disabilities.
