Sports Ambassadors

Our Sports Ambassadors demonstrate the six key values of all School Games: determination, honesty, passion, respect, self-belief, teamwork. 

Our Sports Ambassadors are made up of year 5 and 6 pupils. These children have a Ambassador training day that takes place at the start of the academic term. This training gives the children all the skills and knowledge they need to be a successful Sport Ambassador.

Below are a list of qualities and some job descriptions required when taking up the role of a Sports Ambassador:

 Qualities/Skills Required

  • Must be approachable and have a good relationship with all children;

  • A positive role model and a good attitude towards learning and playing sports;

  • Be a good team member;

  • Able to engage and inspire others;

  • Must be organised and be a good timekeeper.

 Our Sporting ambassadors have been carefully chosen and show all of the qualities above. Their job role is very important throughout the school and below you will see a list of jobs our Sporting Ambassadors will undertake throughout the school year.

 Jobs:

  • Will run games at lunch time, on a rota basis (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

  • Undertake a training course.

  • Help run and organise the house competitions.

  • Always be an example in PE lessons, after school clubs and sports competitions (Lead by Example).

  • Be ready for other Sporting needs throughout the year.
