Reading

Your child reading regularly at home will really help them progress. We would like all pupils to read at home at least 3 times per week. Please record all reading at home in your reading diary. When you have read 3 times in a week, 5 weeks in a row you will receive a prize. We check reading diaries on a Friday morning so please ensure they are in school. 

Spellings

Children are given a set of words to learn each week, based on the spelling rule that we are learning in school.  Below is an overview of the half term's rules and words.  Your spelling test will be every Friday but we need all spelling books in on Thursday please. 

Please find below the Spelling Overview. For Year 3's please refer to Stage 3, Autumn Term Week 1 (Given out on 15/09/23). For Year 4's Please refer to Autumn Term Week 1  (Given out on 15/09/23).

Below is the list of words that pupils are expected to spell by the end of Year 4.
