This week we are finding fractions or a set of objects!

There are 3 PowerPoints (PP) that each have a linked worksheet (WS). Work through these across the week. 

Don't worry if you don't have a printer, just write your answers on a piece of paper.

English Activities

Day 1- Learn Week 4 spellings. Put each spelling into a sentence. 

Day 2- Today, you are going to start planning a story about a haunted mansion! You are going to use the inspiration we got from Luke Temple's Mutating mansion! Have a go at mapping out a story using the image below and the planning sheet. Don't forget to fill your planning sheet with adventurous adjectives for setting and characters!

Day 3 and 4 - Let's get writing! Use the next two days to write and perfect your story. Don't forget to use:

  • A clear beginning, middle and end
  • Use expanded noun phrases to describe your characters and settings 
  • Use fronted adverbials for time, place and manner 
  • Write in the past tense
  • Use some correctly punctuated speech marks in your work

Day 5-  Now you've finished your story, design a front cover as if your story was getting turned into a real book!
