In Voyagers, homework is set on a Monday and is due in the following Monday. There will usually be a Maths activity and an English activity. Your child should have brought home a spelling list overview, they will be tested on these spellings weekly. Each week, we will tell your child which spelling list to practise and they will be tested on these the following Wednesday. We will check that pupils have completed their homework and they will receive a dojo for each piece of homework handed in.

The spelling list for this half term is also available at the bottom of this page.

Your child reading regularly at home will really help them progress with their decoding and comprehension. We would like all pupils to read at home at least 3 times per week. All pupils who manage to do this will receive 3 dojos for their hard work. If any parents are available to come in and hear children read, we would be really grateful.

Homework statement

At Albrighton Primary School, we believe that homework should allow children to consolidate and extend learning that has taken place in the classroom, whilst also providing opportunities to practise the essential skills which enable children to learn effectively. Our aim is that children will enjoy extending their learning, and sharing their successes by showing their families what they are able to do.

'BURPS' - Home Learning

Children are given a set of words to learn each week, based on the spelling rule that we are learning in school.  Below is an overview of the half term's rules and words.  Please note there is a Year 4 list and a Year 5 list.
