Music is an important part of life at Albrighton Primary School. Children participate in classroom music sessions each term which use the Music Express Schemes of Work as their foundation. We have a wide range of percussion instruments available and have recently invested in class sets of recorders, glockenspiels and guitars.
We enjoy whole school singing sessions once a week when we learn a range of modern and often lively songs which form part of our assemblies throughout the week.
Extra Curricular Opportunities
A well established and popular choir meets once a week. They enjoy performing within school and in the local community, with performances at village events and at local nursing homes.
The children in Year 2 are able to join an Ocarina club which meets weekly. They enjoy the opportunity to perform the songs they have learnt for their friends in assemblies.
A peripatetic guitar teacher visits the school weekly and offers small group tuition to children in Key Stage 2.
