Spring Term 2018
The Spring term has been another busy one, as the children have once again taken part in a variety of different sporting activities including: Tag Rugby, Cross Country, Football and Dodgeball.
At the very beginning of the term a selection of Key Stage Two pupils took part in the Birchfield Invitational Cross Country event on a very wet and muddy course. Despite the miserable conditions all the children involved carried on regardless, with one of our pupils Lilly from Dazzling Dragons finishing third overall in her race. Cross Country proved a successful event for Jack from Skyflyers who competed at the School Games final at Shrewsbury Sports Village. Both Skyflyers and Dazzling Dragons received coaching from a Shifnal Saxons Rugby Coach during their PE lessons and enjoyed learning about Tag Rugby. Children from Year 5/6 got to experience more competitive Tag Rugby matches as they took part in a two week tournament hosted by Idsall School. Idsall also played host to a Year 5/6 Girls Football Tournament, our girls performed really well up against some tough competition from other local primary schools. KS2 children took up the opportunity to strengthen their Dodgeball skills after school at a club ran by Mr Goodridge. All the children really enjoyed the sessions and improved as a result.
A big Well Done to all the children involved in events taking place this term!
